It is a transportation system with a series of small, light vehicles operating below 25 km/h that designed for personal usage.

Not everyone has a chance to live or work near by a public transportation station or a bus stop. For this reason, most of the people go for their short distance destinations by their large-scaled vehicles. Consequently, cities are complaint about traffic jam, parking problems and excessive car emissions.

Micro mobility is crucial at this point. Micro mobility has positive contribution to traffic jam and more importantly the air pollution that most of the cities struggle against these situations.

In previous years, some attempts were made with manual transportation vehicles. However, the electrical versions of these vehicles have attacked more attention at the current technology level. The usage rate increased noticeably.

One of the aims of micro mobility is transportation safety. It is encouraging the main aims of the cities which make plans for safety of streets that holds all transportation types in streets safely. Safety was the source of concern for cities since the emerging of automobiles. Traffic deaths causing from cars increased recent years. Micro mobility is important to reduce all these accidents.

Many cities in countrywide accelerate the investments on separate lanes for bicycles, scooters, and other micro mobility vehicles. In this sense, it is aimed to provide more secure rides.

There are many factors that makes the micro mobility attractive by private users. For example, these factors can be applied to businesses for local shipment. Electrical cargo bicycles can be an alternative for trucks that cause carbon gas-derived waste surplus and particulate emissions in cities. Many companies take a step about this.

Micro mobility is seen as a potential solution to transport people in cities with more secure and more efficient way. According to some research, a micro mobility vehicle is used by 10 people. Although this rate seems high, it is believed that it will be used more. It is estimated that a personal car is used 4%-10% per day. In line with these rates, the importance of micro mobility is getting more important.
