What is Simulation?

What is Simulation?

Simulation is an animated model that simulates an existing or recommended system such as daily operation of a bank, creation of vehicle traffic factors, assigning personnel in a call center.

Real process can be represented correctly if timing and rules added around the duties, resources and restrictions that make up your system.

Simulation offers strong and evidence-based approach. A virtual representation is used to test the impact of different scenarios and process changes. Therefore, an approach that gives the best result can be obtained.

Why is Simulation Modelling Used?

Simulation modelling solve the problems of real world more secure and more effective. It provides an important analyze method that can be easily proved, transmitted, and understood. Simulation modelling provide valuable solutions by offering clear insight to complex systems between industries and disciplines.

Simulation makes it possible to do an experiment on a valid digital representation of a system. Unlike doing the scaled physical modelling of a building, simulation modelling is computer based and use algorithms and equations. Simulation software provides a dynamic environment including 2D or 3D viewing.

Simulation modelling gives quite effective results in traffic applications.

Road infrastructure is always a challenge because it is hard to prevent traffic jam, reducing the traffic density, do budget allocation and the need to meet the needs of the urban environment. For planners who need to make changes to the road network, the effects on traffic flow need to be anticipated. When integrating large public buildings such as airports, stations and stadiums into a network or planning their on-site roads, their effects should be considered. Traffic light sequencing and timing and the placement of road network objects (such as parking lots, bus stops and access lanes) have a direct impact on traffic flow and capacity.

The changes in road network may have wide ranging economical results. Therefore, it is particularly important to find the most proper solutions.  Using the highway traffic simulation is the key of detailed analyzes and valuable solutions of your organization.

The uses of simulation in the business world are also varied. It is often used when conducting experiments on a real system. Real trials are often impossible or impractical because of the costs or time.
